Welcome to Nursery - Mrs Mitchell

We offer free 30 hour Nursery places for eligible families and we also offer flexible Nursery sessions. We also have a fantastic 2 year old setting - Flying Start on site too. There is myself and Miss Davison working with the Nursery children each day. Please take a look at our page to see just how busy we have been and what we have been up to.

  • Our session times are 8:50-11:50 and 12:15-3:15
  • We aim for 95% attendance and it is very important to be on time for nursery, making a fantastic start to our session
  • Please put your child's name in their items of clothing
  • Could you please send a bag with spare items of clothing to hang on your child's peg. You just never know when we might need it - we're always ever so busy and we do like getting wet and messy too
  • If it is going to be somebody different collecting your child, please notify staff or telephone the office

March 2020 - 'Cock-a-Doodle-Moo'

Our new topic is well underway now and the children are loving learning about life on the farm! We have been so busy learning about different products you can get from the farm, as well as making our own pancakes. We read The Cow who fell in the Canal for World Book Day and we made our own bagels and butter. This week it is Science Week and we are learning about bees and looking at plants and vegetables. We are heading to the farm on 24th March and we can't wait to go and see all of the animals.

February 2020

Kung Hey Fat Choy!

We have been learning about the Chinese festival of how they celebrate and welcome in their new year. We have been making dragon cookies, eating and tasting a variety of Chinese foods and creating our own blossom pictures. A selection of photos are below.

January 2020

Welcome back to our returning Nursery and a big hello to our New Nursery starters who are joining us in January. We have had such a busy first week back and everyone is settling in so well. Just look how busy we really have been, below!

December 2019

What a fantastic way to end our busy half term with a walk to ASDA, cake making, Christmas Parties and our Polar Express PJ party. Below is a small selection of photos from our party. We wish you a very merry Christmas!

November 2019

We are taking part in World Nursery Rhyme Week next week from Monday 18th-Friday 22nd November. We are promoting rhyme across our Flying Start, Nursery and Reception and we will be singing a different rhyme each day. We will also be taking part in a session ran by Mrs Bryant-King linked to nursery rhyme week too.

October 2019

What a busy few weeks we have had and this week is no different! What a lovely harvest festival assembly we had today and we are looking forward to our spooktacular day on Friday. We have carved out our pumpkins and we are ready to make spooky breadsticks tomorrow.

September 2019

We have had such a fantastic first couple of weeks and our children have returned back to Nursery so settled. We also welcomed our lovely new Nursery children too and we look forward to working with your all this year.

We ordered some new resources for the start of a new school year and we have been enjoying playing with the wooden rainbow to construct various things. There are some photo challenge cards to give us some ideas but the children have been making their own creations and they have been telling us what they are.

All ready for our new school year! We can't wait to welcome back to all of our returning Nursery and welcome our new starters too.
